WHAT ELSE YOU NEED
macOS 14 or later, mains power and enough USB ports. Test Very Lit alongside your DJ software.
XDJ-XZ or OPUS-QUAD with USB mix capture. For gear without that route, use a stereo USB audio interface fed from a line-level output.
One USB-to-DMX interface for this rig. Choose USB Pro, rather than Open DMX USB.
Rated stands, cases, labeled power and DMX cables, termination and connector adapters.
Tested venue Wi-Fi or a travel router/hotspot with internet access for both devices.
SET UP VERY LIT
Add exact models and modes, set fixed addresses and group movers and washes separately. Keep the patch list in your cable case.
Update the floor and fixture positions for the venue. Keep movement on the dance floor and away from dinner tables.
Connect the XDJ-XZ by USB, install its Mac audio software if required and select it in Audio input. Check for unwanted cue or DVS audio.
Plug in the ENTTEC USB Pro, enable output and map the universe. Match fixture modes and addresses, then test each light.
Walk the room with the iPad remote. After the gig, shut down output and return labeled cables and adapters to their cases.
IPAD OVER WI-FI
Soften the lighting for dinner or speeches, then raise the energy for dancing.
Requires macOS 14 or later.
