WHAT ELSE YOU NEED
macOS 14 or later, with a display available for setup.
DJM-450 connected by USB. For mixers without USB capture, use a stereo USB audio interface fed from a line-level mix output.
An ENTTEC ODE Mk3, powered by PoE or its power supply.
Ethernet for the Mac and node; Wi-Fi with internet for the iPad.
Rated mounts, power, terminated DMX cabling and any 3-pin/5-pin adapters. Allow access for cleaning.
SET UP VERY LIT
Place the bar, seating, DJ and dance floor in the editor. Aim washes at surfaces and movers at the dance floor. Group each separately.
Select the exact fixture models and channel modes. Match their physical DMX addresses and save the house show.
Link the Mac app to your account and load the show. Select the USB audio input, enable Art-Net and map the universe to the node’s output.
Test each group, then play music. Check that cue audio and the mixer microphone are excluded from the chosen recording feed.
Use Chill for early service, then change energy and colors for dancing. Keep the Mac awake and local controls accessible.
IPAD OVER WI-FI
Use Chill for early drinks, Party for dancing and a palette to match the night.
Requires macOS 14 or later.
